My development efforts have hit a standstill at the moment as I have
been in the process of moving house. The internet at my new place should
be connected tomorrow, so I will hopefully be able to make some progress
in the very near future.
In other news, I have been playing a fair amount of
Ingress. If you haven't heard about it yet,
its basically a Real Life MMO created by Google. The concept behind it
is quite cleaver, In that the purpose of the game is to control
"Portal's" but to create a "Portal" you need to take a photo of a piece
of artwork or a landmark and upload it to Google with the Geo-Tag. They
appear to be using a game to get real world data to make their Maps
application better.
It has given me a few ideas on how to utilize the concept in different
ways.
Assuming everything goes well tomorrow, I will Blog when my servers are
in their new home, and hopefully make some progress with my dev network.
